On Wednesday, Oct. 14, a helicopter and emergency vehicles will arrive at the Franklin Regional High School at approximately 5:30 p.m. for a scheduled information night about the district's new Advanced Healthcare Academy. The helicopter and emergency vehicles will depart from campus between 6:30–7 p.m. Once again, this is for a scheduled event and not for emergency purposes. Franklin Regional Middle School invites local Veterans to join us for our annual Veterans Day Performance on Thursday, November 5! ❤️🤍💙

🎶 Daytime Performances: 9:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 1:45 p.m.

🍽️ Veterans Lunch: Veterans attending the 10:45 a.m. performance are invited to stay for lunch immediately following the performance in Room 130. Please RSVP by Friday, October 30, by calling 724-327-5456, ext. 2003. Panera lunch options are available on the invitation.

🌟 Evening Performance: Wednesday, November 4, at 7:00 p.m.

⭐Stars, Stripes & Scenic Sites!⭐

As part of our fourth-grade social studies overarching theme, “Stars, Stripes, and Scenic Sites,” students put their geography skills to work by building puzzle maps of the United States!

Using the 5 Cs—critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, and citizenship—students worked with state puzzle pieces, reference maps, and craft supplies to:

🗺️ Cut out and correctly assemble the United States
🌎 Label bordering countries and major bodies of water
🏞️ Identify national parks
🎨 Color their maps by geographic region

And this is just the beginning! Students will revisit this project in the spring, taking their maps to the next level by adding all 50 states and capitals, along with landforms, bodies of water, bordering countries, national parks, and other geographic details. #FRAcademics

Intermediate students are getting outside! 🌿 During the first couple of weeks of School, Ms. Feltenberger's class posed for a photo in front of the building, and during recess, students took some time to make music outside.
